Write Like Everyone Is Reading

It has been said “Dance like nobody’s watching” which is only part of the quote.
The actual quote is
“Dance like nobody’s watching;
Love like you’ve never been hurt.
Sing like nobody’s listening
Live like it’s heaven on earth.
~Mark Twain~

That made me think, I should write like everyone is reading.

Why shouldn’t I ?

Why shouldn’t you ?

In today’s world, the digital age, our opportunities are endless.
The reach of our work can be realized like never before.
It could only take one person to come across our work, to propel us to the top of our niche.

If you think about it, I am an unpublished author, I am blogger in a virtual sea of bloggers, I am a single pixel in the matrix we call the web.

I am unknown, except to you, my valued readers, my friends.

However, if some prominent person on twitter comes across this blog or reads my book when it comes out, decides to tweet
“hey check this guy Jim out”
and they have 30000 followers, I in-turn have the potential for 30000 new readers, although highly unlikely.

It is said in sales 1 in 10 will buy, using this logic, it is more likely I could gain 3000 more readers
What if that prominent person on twitter had 1 million followers?
I will let you do the math, ha-ha.

My point is, twitter is just one channel, and it could take only one tweet to change my writing career forever.

So I am going to write this blog and anything I publish, Β like the entire world is going to read it.

Won’t you please join me ?

Won’t you Write Like Everyone Is Reading ?

  1. Jim, I asked myself this morning, “Why am I writing this? What difference is it going to make in the grand scheme of things?” Then I remembered something that my writer friend gaboo said to me. “If your words can reach out to, and make a difference in the life of one person, you have done your job.”

Now, I come to your post and it pushes me on to write like the whole world is reading. You are an inspiration. Thank you. Now I’m going to post my morning’s work.
